Year it was XML ... This Year ICE is Hot!
ICE
was awarded the Seybold Technology Trailblazer
Award for 1998.
According
to the Editors at Seybold Publications, "There
is no shortage of proposed standards for the
Internet. But in 1998 there was one that was
significant. The Information and Content Exchange
(ICE) protocol is an XML-based mechanism for
automating the flow of digital content between
business partners. The ICE specification is
a significant step forward for those trying
to automate the distribution of content on the
Web."
