Associated, Affiliated, and Related Meetings

GCA encourages other organizations and groups interested in Markup Languages to meet the week before or the week after Extreme, and will be happy to assist these groups in arranging facilities for their meetings. For information and assistance in organizing a related event, please contact Marion Elledge at 703/519-8160.

Receptions (Monday, August 14, and Tuesday, August 15, 2000)

GCA will sponsor receptions for all Extreme attendees on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Details and locations will be announced on the conference web site and available on site.

Poster Sessions

Poster Presentations use graphic or textual signs, posted on a big cork board, to show the major points of a topic. This year we invite two categories of posters: - Technical posters desscribing an idea, technique, problem, or innovation - Vendor posters describing a product, commercial enterprise, or service.

Posters will be located near the New technology Showcase. Posters will be available for viewing during the entire conference in the space that will host the Tuesday evening conference reception and all conference lunches.

Attendees are encouraged to bring prepared poster presentations and to create ad hoc poster presentations during the conference. For more information on posters contact Kate Hamilton via email at kateah@bellatlantic.net or by phone at 617/266-9314."

New Technology Showcase

The New Technology Showcase is a venue for the display of pre-release commercial tools, free tools, and shareware tools. In this protected environment, GCA is helping to nurture the tools of tomorrow. In the New Technology Showcase, users have the opportunity to get previews of future products and free tools, and developers can get user feedback on tools that are not yet ready to release.

If you want to display your free or pre-release software in the New Technology Showcase (a table and electric power will be provided) contact Julie Desmond at jdesmond@gca.org
