Lea and a panel of HR & training professionals will use the results to show you how to perform a cost/benefit analysis for training programs in your shop. The presentation and discussion will include:
  • Identifying the training and professional development need and getting the appropriate support for a training program.
  • Assessing what the training and professional development should consist of in terms of time, target, format, etc.
  • How to implement the training and professional development program.

9:30 a.m. Personal Development Workshop: Creating Real Solutions. Attendees will break out into workgroups in order to explore strategies for adopting and putting personally beneficial changes in place. Workgroups will first identify current obstacles that may need to be overcome, such as developing a difficult ROI, overcoming departmental barriers, or establishing senior management “buy-in.” Workgroups will exchange issues and obstacle statements, and then develop solutions to the issues/obstacles identified by other groups. Moderator Ken Lowden, Marketing & Industry Relations Manager at DuPont Color Proofing, and Spectrum planning committee volunteers will facilitate discussions and help to synthesize results into a comprehensive conclusion.
