Daly has 22 years commercial experience in the printing
and publishing industry. Since 1998 he has worked
with SGML, XML and HTML, designing, implementing and
maintaining websites, and with Perl, DSSSL, Java,
and Visual Basic, developing XML-based solutions for
database-backed electronic publishing environments.

Daniel Jr.
Ron
Daniel Jr. is co-chair of the PRISM Working Group
and co-editor of the PRISM specification, which was
released in April. He is also chair of W3C's XML Linking
Interest Group, co-editor of W3C's XPointer specification
and was co-editor of first two Dublin Core reports.
Prior to Interwoven, Dr. Daniel worked at Los Alamos
National Laboratory on projects around large-scale
and long-duration information infrastructures. He
received his PH.D in electrical engineering from Oklahoma
State and was a postdoctoral researcher at Cambridge
University.

deBronkart
Dave
deBronkart is Senior Consultant with PODi, the Digital
Printing initiative, a not-for-profit industry initiative
focused on developing the market for digital printing
through market education and standards activities.
Throughout his career in the graphic arts he has focused
on productivity enhancements, both as consultant and
employee at industry leading firms including Compugraphic
(now Agfa), Indigo, Scitex, Itek, and Du Pont. For
the past year he has served as Program Director for
PODi's initiative to develop PPML, an XML-based standard
for personalized printing. A graduate of MIT's Sloan
School of Management, Mr. deBronkart is based in the
Boston area.

Andre
DeWild is a supervisor in Wiring Diagram and System
Schematic Production at United Airlines. He is the
chairman of the ATA Graphics Working Group and has
been instrumental in the definition of requirements
for graphical interchange and intelligent graphics
applications within the air transport industry. He
has several years of experience with graphics interchange
and use within the industry.

Di Silvestri
Jay
began his career with CCH, Inc. in 1994 where he successfully
transitioned the CD-ROM/Online Development Group from
a proprietary software model to open source systems
and languages. He helped form Advanced Data Engineering,
an XML services company, where he first served as
Vice President of Research and Development, and later
as Executive Vice President. His company was recently
acquired by SoftQuad Software Ltd. He is currently
the Director of Business Development for the Content
Services Group. Jay received his BA Degree in Philosophy
from the University of California at Santa Barbara,
and a Law Degree from Hastings College of the Law
in San Francisco.

Duhig is a Technical Consultant at empolis UK. He
is responsible for developing products and solutions
in the field of structured information systems. He
has 10 years experience developing software with a
variety of languages and technologies. Over the past
year, Anthony has developed and consulted with clients
to build real world XLink based solutions. His current
focus is the development of generic components to
support the visual creation of out-of-line links using
XLink and empolis X2X technology.

O'Reilly Network. He writes and speaks on the subjects
of XML and the Web. He is also the creator of XMLhack.com,
the popular XML developer news site, and WriteTheWeb.com,

Edd is also co-founder of Pharmalicensing.com, an
online intellectual property exchange for the pharmaceutical
industry.

As
Chief XML Architect for HP's Middleware Division,
Alan Dye sets the strategic direction of the development
of XML related technologies for HP's Middleware Products.
HP is an strong proponent of open industry standards,
preferring to build open, extensible products rather
than proprietary technologies that lock customers
in. Consequently, HP relies heavily on such open industry
platforms as Java, JavaServer Pages, Enterprise JavaBeans,
XML, and other technologies in Java 2 Platform, Enterprise
Edition and other standards platforms. Alan's career
at Hewlett-Packard spans more than 8 years, and has
touched on products such as the Color LaserJet, HP's
C and C++ compilers technologies, the production of
a suite of ported and readily available Open Source
tools for the HP-UX platform, and recently the acquisition
by HP of Bluestone Software in the Application Server
space. Alan holds a Bachelors degree with a Major
in Business and a minor in Information Systems and
Control Theory from Idaho State University.

Edmonds is head of e-commerce strategy for Stemcor
Group and has both a technical and business background.
He was employed by IBM UK Ltd in a systems engineering
role from 1989 to 1993 and then as a steel trader
for Stemcor USA Inc until 1999, ultimately with responsibility
for Stemcor's trading business in South America. From
the start of 2000, Richard has spearheaded a drive
towards full e-commerce, with the objective to turn
Stemcor into a 'bricks and click' company and enable
the Group to take advantage of the new business processes
enabled by the Internet.

Group, and is also active in both ACM and IEEE. John
holds a Graduate Certificate in Information Security

Ferraiolo is a member of Adobe's Advanced Technology
Group where he focuses on issues related to the Web
and XML. He is Adobe's representative to the W3C's
working group on Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and
is editor of the SVG specification. Jon has been an
engineering manager and product manager at various
software companies. He has an M.B.A. from Santa Clara
University and a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from
Stanford University.

Center. He is vice-chair of the ebXML Transport Routing
and Packaging project team (TR&P). Christopher
has been at Sun for over ten years and has over twenty
years experience in distributed IT systems architecture,

computer veteran of 25 years, does research in the
evolvement of end-to-end markets and super directories.
He is an adviser to the Swedish government's Information
Technology Commission, a contributing author to the
Swedish Governmental Enquiry on Infrastructure, an
adviser to the National Education Agency and the Swedish
National Tourist Council. He is the initiator and
co-author of the SkiCal directory mark-up language.
He is currently assisting the Swedish labour board
in the development of an end-to-end labour market
and writing a book about the rise and fall of the
database.

Eric Freese is the Director of Professional Services
in the Midwest Region for ISOGEN International, a
DataChannel company. Mr. Freese has more than a dozen
years of experience in the area of information, document,
and knowledge management. His specific expertise is
in the implementation of markup technologies including
XML, DSSSL, HyTime, Topic Maps, HTML and the WWW.
This experience includes research, analysis, specification,
design, development, testing, implementation, integration
and management of database systems and computer technologies
in business, education and government environments.
Mr. Freese has research experience in human interface
design, graphics interface development, and artificial
intelligence. He is also a founding member of TopicMaps.org,
the organization responsible for XTM, the topic map
standard for the web. Mr. Freese has spoken at numerous
conferences worldwide, including XML 2000, XML Asia/Pacific,
Extreme Markup, XML Europe, Metastructures, SGML Europe
'96, SGML '91, '92 and '94, Seybold Paris, the International
WWW Conference and the Aerospace Applications of Artificial
Intelligence Conference, on subjects including structured
information, data and document management and artificial
intelligence.
