Jonathan Robie — Jonathan Robie is a Research
Fellow at Software AG, where he specializes in query languages, database architecture,
programming interfaces, and schema languages for XML database systems. He
represents Software AG in the W3C XML Query Working Group.
Mr. Robie was the author of an XML query language called XQL, co-author,
with David Schach and Joe Lapp, of XQL 98, and is now the editor of XQL 99.
He was a member of the architectural team for Texcel's Information Manager,
a lead architect of POET Software's XML repository, and implemented transactions
in POET's object database.
In addition to the XML Query Working Group, Mr. Robie is a member of
the W3C Schema Working Group, an editor of the W3C Document Object Model Level
1 and Level 2, and has also served on the W3C XSL Working Group and the W3C
XML Information Set Working Group.
Mr. Robie has a M.S. Degree from Michigan State University.
