David Michael Allen - David Allen has been Managing Director of the International Press Telecommunications Council since 1991. Prior to that he was an Electrical Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force for 23 years before being appointed as Telecommunications Manager of the Press Association and then Operations Director of BSB DataVision. David has been closely involved with all the standards work of the IPTC and has presented at seminars and conferences in Europe and North America. He was an external assessor for the EC Harmony Project for improving accessibility to news information and is a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
