David vun Kannon - David vun Kannon is a manager in the Financial Services practice of KPMG Consulting. He is responsible for the information architecture for projects developed within Financial Services Consulting that highlight the technology expertise of KPMG Consulting and the close relationship the firm has with strategic partners in Electronic Commerce applications for the Financial Services line of business. Recent accomplishments include leading the technical development of the XBRL specification and advisement to the Global Straight Through Processing Association (GSTPA) on the creation of an object model and resulting XML vocabulary to support the messaging requirements of that organization. The GSTPA is an organization of the most technologically advanced securities firms, and includes representatives of global standards-making bodies. This XML vocabulary will define the structure and content of all messages involving the settlement of cross-border securities transactions handled by the GSTPA.
