Installing and Running

The electronic proceedings for XML Europe 2001 (created by deepX Ltd.) contain an HTML version of each paper which can be viewed with a standard web browser. If you are viewing these proceedings from a CD-ROM use a web browser to open the file: "\xe01dpx\index.htm". If you would prefer to run the proceedings from a local drive, copy the folder "xe01dpx" to your local drive and launch the application as before.

Searching

The search capabilites provided by the proceedings application require Java and Javascript enabled within your Web browser.

The Search Form has the following parts:

Search Form

The search engine allows the user to select the field to search. There are six different fields:

  • Affiliation: searches for the papers that were written by authors working in the specified affiliation.
  • Author: searches for the papers that were written by the specified author. It is possible to search by name and/or surname.
  • City: searches for the papers that were written by authors working in the specified city.
  • Country: searches for the papers that were written by authors working in the specified country.
  • Keyword: searches for the papers that contains the given keyword.
  • Title: searches for papers that contain the given words in the title of the paper.

Printing

You can print the HTML version of a paper, however each paper is also available in PDF form (Portable Document Format) to allow higher quality of printing. A link to the PDF version of each paper is provided at the top of each HTML paper as indicated by the PDF Logo icon:

In order to view PDF files, you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. To download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader just click the following icon.

Unicode Support

The HTML pages in these conference proceedings contain Unicode characters. To view the contents of these proceedings in their intended form you may require a Web browser that supports Unicode.
