Richard W. Smith - Richard (Dick) Smith is the Director of Companywide Applications within Boeing's Shared Services Group. He has responsibility for providing the leadership and direction for companywide information systems, including the delivery of electronic commerce and e-business systems. Other responsibilities include services such as architecture, database administration, planning and software methodology assistance for applications projects. Prior to the Boeing/McDonnell Douglas (MDC) merger, Dick was in a similar position reporting to the McDonnell Douglas CIO. At MDC, Dick also served as Director of MDC Missile Company Information Systems, as well as other Engineering and program management positions in MDC product divisions. Dick has an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, and a Masters degree in Business Management.
