Claus von Riegen - Claus von Riegen is XML Standards Architect for SAP AG. He plays a major role in the definition of SAP's strategy for XML standards and is active participant of ebXML is a set of specifications that together enable a modular electronic business framework. The vision of ebXML is to enable a global electronic marketplace where enterprises of any size and in any geographical location can meet and conduct business with each other through the exchange of XML based messages. ebXML is a joint initiative of the United Nations (UN/CEFACT) and OASIS, developed with global participation for global usage. (ebXML) and UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) is a sweeping industry initiative. The UDDI Standard creates a platform-independent, open framework for describing services, discovering businesses, and integrating business services using the Internet. (UDDI). During his seven years with SAP he also worked on many projects in Application Development, including Data and Object Modeling, Workflow Management, Interface Design and Distributed Systems Management. Claus holds a degree in Computer Science from the Technische Universitaet Braunschweig, Germany.
