Biography

Dikran S. Meliksetian - Dikran S. Meliksetian received the B.E. degree (with honors) in electrical engineering from the American University of Beirut, in 1975, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, in 1990 and 1992, respectively. From 1992 to 1994, he was on the faculty of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the South Dakota school of Mines and Technology. There, he received the 1993 Eta Kappa Nu Award as Outstanding Professor of Electrical Engineering. From 1995 to 1999, he was a research professor at Syracuse University, where he was conducting research projects, primarily sponsored by Rome Laboratory, U.S. Air Force, in distributed video management systems, ATM network system development, multimedia communications, image and video data compression and a wide range of client server distributed architectures. He is currently with the Internet Technology Group at IBM, where he is engaged primarily in the design and development of content management applications.
