Charles McCay - Charles McCay is the XML co-ordinator for HL7-UK. He was on the team specifying the "Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions in England" message, and produced an "XML in Healthcare Resource Kit" for the University of Newcastle. He has used XML within messaging solutions for finance, insurance, and healthcare and takes a practical and pragmatic approach to its benefits. He has also spent many years developing clinical systems and their interfaces without those benefits.
