The presentation will describe the business model of Kauppalehti Online, the biggest financial portal Web site in Scandinavia. In addition, the use of XML as the enabling technology in financial information syndication is described in detail.

Janne Saarela
Janne Saarela - Dr. Janne Saarela has participated in eletronic publishing projects at European Laboratory of Particle Physics (CERN) and at Helsinki University of Technology. From 1997 until 1999 he was a visiting engineer at the W3C and at the Eurecom institute in France. During this time he participated in an EU project and built one of the parsers for Resource Description Framework (RDF) type of metadata. Since 1999 Mr. Saarela has been the technical lead of Profium Ltd in the development of content management software solutions. Mr. Saarela is also a frequent speaker at XML seminars.
