Spectrum Mission - The annual three-day
Spectrum Conference provides a forum for the spectrum of segments in the graphic
arts community-Advertising, Creative, Prepress, Printing, Publishing and Manufacturing-to
improve workflow, production and management. The purpose of this conference is
to take a viewpoint to improve the through-line-of-action across all the participants.
Over its 24-year history, Spectrum has become an agenda-setting meeting for the
industry in color management, digital printing, electronic data interchange and
e-commerce. Participants in this hard-hitting program receive the latest and evolving
information and trends on:
- Changing business practices,
- Methods
to apply new technologies to day-to-day operations, and
- Processes to improve
production and communications.
Most importantly, participants take a
stake in the future through involvement in developing tools and techniques to
make print production a more competitive industry.

- The Spectrum Conference is dedicated to workflow, production and management

Who Attends Spectrum? - Each year
up to 400 print industry leaders attend Spectrum. Attendees include:
- Executives-Presidents, Vice Presidents, Principals, Publishers, CEOs and COOs
- Managers-Directors
and Managers, including Marketing Staffs
- Account Executives
One-third
of the participants have key management and executive roles with titles of president,
CEO, COO, publisher or vice president and another third have titles of director
or manager. Spectrum is the official annual conference of the National Advertising
Production Club Network.
What is the Design of the Spectrum Program?
- The Spectrum program is a combination of general sessions, discussion breakouts
and tutorials. A key component in the design of the meeting is to provide an environment
for the lively exchange of ideas. The program constantly evolves to meet the needs
of an ever-changing industry. In 2000 the Spectrum Education Center was begun-featuring
demonstrations and technology briefings. Spectrum showcases key industry leaders
