New Resources for XML!

XML is certainly on the top of everyone s high-tech radar screen.  Everyone is using XML, or feels they need to use it.  Not only is the number of products with XML support growing rapidly, but also the sources of information expand every month.  In addition to XMLFiles, you can find XML news and articles on a regular basis by linking to http://www.xml.com.    Of course you can get daily XML news from the ultimate source, Robin Cover at http://www.oasis-open.org/cover/.  A number of new sources of XML information have recently been launched.  You might want to add these to your list of favorites!

Eve Maler Gives XML Advice

Eve Maler is one of two authors offering XML resources on the Arbortext Web site.  Eve s column is simply known as Eve s Advisory .  The debut issue of Eve's Advisory, entitled, "Validation: It's a Good Thing," answers a reader's question about whether XML will free him from
the tyranny of rigid structure in document authoring. , Eve's Advisory provides a forum for questions and is designed to give clear, concise answers. You can send

Norm Walsh Turns XML Handyman

Norm Walsh provides the second Arbortext XML resource.  . Walsh is a principal software engineer for Arbortext. Walsh plans to take on a wide range of projects and issues in his new online column, Standard Deviations from Norm." Standard Deviations from Norm, located at http://www.arbortext.com/, provides not only valuable how-to insights for those trying to implement for the latest XML standard but also a wealth of XML-related resources and links  In contrast to Eve Maler s column, Walsh readers can look forward to rolling up their technical sleeves and learning how to take on XML projects the smart way, saving themselves pain and money by following a leader in the XML world. The first issue of Norm's column provides advice about XPath, an XML path language that will be an important building block for future specifications.

Fawcette Technical Publications Launches XML magazine

Fawcette recently announced the November launch of XML magazine. According to Fawcett, the growing community of professional XML developers are searching for information to help them incorporate XML into their e-business solutions.  XML magazine is designed to provide information about the architecture and structure of XML. The initial response to the magazine has been phenomenal,  said Paul Spyksma, Director of Sales at FTP. The major players in enterprise applications understand the importance of creating their own sustainable identity in the XML market, and XML magazine is their best opportunity.
