Selects Jouve Data Management as VAR for Worldwide Aerospace Market
IRVINE,
CA and ANN ARBOR, MI. - November 5, 2001 - Jouve Data Management
today announced that Arbortext, a global provider of XML-based software
that enables the creation, editing and publishing of information
from a single source of content to multiple types of media, has
selected Jouve Data Management as a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for
the worldwide aerospace market, providing a new distribution channel
for Arbortext's Epic product line.
Jouve
is the leader in Air Transport Association (ATA) standards-based
digital document solutions for airlines and aerospace companies
using their AirGTI software suite. To continue meeting customer
demand, Jouve has expanded their product and service offerings to
include Arbortext's Epic software. Through Epic, aerospace organizations
are able to create content once and repackage and deliver that content
for multiple audiences and multiple types of media.
"Our
customers need to publish information quicker and less costly than
ever before," said Charles Buckner, president of Jouve Data Management.
"As Arbortext's aerospace VAR, we're able to provide our customers
with a solution that enables reuse rather than recreating information,
reducing both cost and time to market."
"We
are pleased that Jouve is a VAR for Arbortext in the aerospace market,"
said John Ford, vice president, worldwide sales. "Jouve technology
is used by over 90 airlines around the globe to access aircraft
technical documentation. We're confident that Epic enhances Jouve's
ability to help airlines implement XML authoring and multichannel
publishing solutions to lower maintenance costs and keep their aircraft
flying."
Jouve
is offering the following products from Arbortext:
- Epic Editor
supports authoring and editing of XML and SGML content. Epic Editor
handles a broad range of applications, from fast, easy-to-use
and cost-effective editing of XML content, to applications requiring
teams of authors working with large amounts of material for automated
publishing to multiple media formats. The latest version, Epic
Editor 4.2, supports collaboration through change tracking, inline
editing of document components, and easier conversion of multiple
content formats to XML including Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker
and Interleaf.
- Epic E-Content
Engine (E3) is a Web-based system used to convert content from
multiple sources, store that content in a repository, and process,
assemble, customize and transform that content for delivery to
the Web, in print and to wireless devices. E3 supplements content
management systems and Web application servers by providing vastly
more powerful content processing capabilities.
